Lily Clark

Lily Clark is a Los Angeles-based artist whose sculptural practice explores the movement of water across natural and engineered systems. Working in stone, ceramic, metal, and resin, she considers water her primary medium—capturing its vortical and curvilinear motion through close observation and iterative experimentation. A fourth-generation Angeleno, Clark draws deeply from California’s hydrological landscape, from the Sierra Nevada to the LA Aqueduct, reflecting on how water is shaped and controlled. Since earning her BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art, she has completed residencies in Japan and Greece, exhibited at venues including Neutra VDL Studio, Walt Disney Concert Hall, and High Desert Test Sites, and was recently named a 2024 rising star by Wallpaper, appearing on its USA 300 list two years in a row.
