millefleur is an incense burner and table decoration based on the traditional Victorian doily. The shapes are taken from medieval illuminated manuscripts where iconographic ivy and flowers is often used to decorate the margins of the page or the background of the scene. This piece is based around chain maille using decorative parts as part of the chain link. It can be used as either a decorative mat or an incense burner.
